The Sims 2 has always been a passion of mine ever since I was a child (which I still am by the way). Everyone was outside having fun playing with stupid basketballs, and soccer balls. I was inside playing with my world. My Sims were mine and no body could take them away ever. I dedicated my life to playing the Sims. But lately, I have found that it can become quite boring after months and months of playing it. So my question is simply this:
What can I do to make my simming experience much more entertainning and fun? I've tried many things like creating legacy, custom content, stories, and I even tried (not succeeded) on making a movie. Please someone give me a trick on how to play the sims again in a fun and enjoyable manner.

When I get bored, I make a bunch of sims just to kill off in all possible ways without cheating. Its really fun and gets me back in the mood to play regular again. You also might try the assylum challenge, which is a lot of fun. I have also made a few families that have it rough, like I make a single parent with kids from different townies and make them struggle with money and stuff. its pretty fun too. ;D

When I get bored, I just don't play for a while. I find something else to do. It might be sim related, like playing in body shop, or thinking of a story outline. But I just don't load the game. Then when I do, I can play for weeks at a time without getting bored. Play a different game. Get away from your precious simmies for a bit. You'll find that when you go back, it's like they are brand new. Good luck with making it fun and interesting.

When I get bored with my sims... I work on making sims in bodyshop for the exchange. I think I enjoy making them more then I do playing most of the time. Inviting everyone over into a 5x5 room and removing the door is also fun.

If I get bored with actually playing, I read up on tutorial and try and find new ways to build, like trying to attach a swimming pool to the house, or whatever. I also go on a challenge hunt, and try and do some small little ones to satisfy my addiction. The asylum one is always great for a good laugh, and if you make sims that are after people you know, it makes it so much better! Like one time (at band camp JK) I created my husband, myself and his family (sisters and parents) which don't like me to much cause they wanted him to marry someone else.. but anyways watching them pee their pants, go nutts and come near death a few times made me laugh so hard! I think that was the most fun I had ever had!

LOL Dragonfly! I once did that but made several variations of my brothers idiot girlfriend (now wife...shudders). She is just an awful person who really split up our family and instead of hurting her myself, I did it in sims. Made about 7 different versions of her (all as gross as I could get them) named them all after her, then did my own variation of the assylum challenge. it was soooooo great and really helped me take out my anger in a way that no one got hurt LOL. It was great fun!
